"The luckiest people in the world often find themselves involved in projects that have a lasting impact on society." Carol was at the right place at the right time. Carol MacAllister was a social worker in 1978 for the State of New Mexico Mental Health Bureau when a new law "The Sexual Crimes Prevention and Treatment Act" was passed. Carol was assigned as a project manager to implement parts of the act that eventually led to the creation of a modern rape kit. That same rape kit is being used to this day.
